Holiday Elegance: Nectar Fabric in the Southern Living Idea House
As we approach the final weekend of tours for the Southern Living Idea House, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on one of my favorite parts of this year’s holiday decor—the incorporation of my Nectar fabric. This beautifully woven fabric was chosen to add a touch of sophistication and warmth to the home, making it the perfect addition to the festive ambiance.
The newest addition to my Fauna Collection is Nectar, a sweet honeycomb pattern reimagined. Nectar features a soft geometric floral in vibrant heirloom-inspired colorways, bringing a refreshing, vintage-inspired touch to modern spaces. For this holiday season, I had the privilege of seeing Nectar used in both tree skirts and Christmas stockings, two key elements in the holiday decor. I designed Nectar with the idea of creating something that could blend elegance with the coziness of the season, and it’s been such a joy to see it come to life in these holiday pieces.
The Nectar fabric, with its intricate texture and calming color palette, complemented the lush greenery and seasonal decor beautifully. As visitors walked through the home, it became clear that this fabric helped set the tone for the festive atmosphere—luxurious yet warm, sophisticated yet inviting.
A big thank you to Willow Events, who beautifully curated the holiday decor and florals, and greenery creating the perfect backdrop for my fabrics to shine during the holiday season.
Nectar Fabric in Holiday Decor: Tree Skirts & Stockings
One of the most special uses of my Nectar fabric was in the creation of custom Tree Skirts and Christmas Stockings. As seen in the images, these festive pieces were crafted in Nectar fabrics in Raisin, Walnut, and Cerulean Blue, adding a touch of vintage charm and warmth to the home’s cozy holiday atmosphere. The rich tones and intricate honeycomb pattern make these stockings stand out, adding elegance to the mantelpiece and perfectly complementing the seasonal greenery.

Another highlight is the custom Tree Skirt crafted from Nectar fabric in Walnut, which elegantly drapes around the base of the holiday tree. The deep, warm tones of Walnut enhance the richness of the decor while maintaining the fabric’s signature texture and soft floral pattern.

Additionally, in the twin bedroom, Nectar fabric in Cerulean Blue was used for another custom tree skirt, along with a matching stocking, to bring a fresh, cool tone to the space. The vibrant blue contrasted beautifully with the warm holiday decor and made for a striking pairing.
